Family Event: Scavenger Hunt, Loop Hike with Fairy & Gnome Village

In November we are holding a self-guided family-friendly field event in Mill Brook Preserve. We are excited to announce we have just added a new bridge on the southern end of the Preserve. Hike the new two-mile loop trail, with scavenger hunt questions posted along the trail, and then stop at the new Fairy and Gnome Village to create a home from nature materials. The event will last for a week, and you can send us photos from your adventure and we will share them on social media.

This new Mill Brook Preserve 2-mile loop trail is a hiking trail with some steep sections. Typically the trail can be hiked by children aged five and older, and by younger children if they can be carried for short stretches. Bow hunting is allowed in Mill Brook Preserve from October through November, so please make sure everyone wears bright colors.

Registrants will receive in advance of the event the map of the new loop hiking trail with scavenger hunt and trailhead locations, and ideas for fairy & gnome homes made from nature materials. While this is a family event, people of all ages will enjoy this new adventure and are welcome to register.

**A huge thanks to Cornelia Warren Community Association for providing the lead support needed to fund the new bridge.**
