Pride Preserve Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting Celebration

Join us at Pride Preserve on Saturday, October 24th at noon to celebrate the grand opening of this new preserve in Westbrook and its 3.5 mile trail network. Just a few miles from downtown Westbrook and Portland, these 188 acres offer a remote wilderness-like experience, and we are excited to share the Preserve with the community.

At noon, there will be a 20-minute ribbon-cutting ceremony with City of Westbrook Mayor Michael Foley and Florence Pride Hawkes (who generously donated most of the land for this preserve). After the ribbon-cutting, participants will be invited to walk the new trails at their own pace. Land Trust staff and Board Ambassadors will be on hand to answer questions.

Pride Preserve is made possible thanks to the generous land donation by Florence Pride Hawkes and her family, Cornelia Warren Community Association, Westbrook Recreation and Conservation Commission, and 110 supporters who donated to this project. This program is now full.
