Family Event: New Story Walk at Hawkes Preserve

This April will see a new story coming to the Story Walk at Hawkes Preserve, and you can join us and other families for its unveiling and guided walk. Come walk the historic towpath along the Presumpscot River where the Story Walk pages will be posted, and then continue on the 1-mile loop to go through a Nature Scavenger Hunt and build fairy and gnome homes in a forested village. The Story Walk was created and is maintained in collaboration with the United Way of Southern Maine’s Brick & Beam Society, and North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters.

The trail is generally flat and easy and can typically be hiked by children aged 3+, and by younger children if they can be carried for short stretches.

This event is free, but space is limited, so registration is required. Please click here to sign up.
