Let's go for a hike! Join the Gray Public Library, Windham Public Library and Preumpscot Regional Land Trust for a nature story time exploring the East Windham Conservation Area. This walk is a true hike up a big hill; we'll stop along the way to read a book. At the top of the hill, we’ll take a break and enjoy a great view of the world below—it’ll feel like we’re on top of the world! We’ll enjoy our chocolate at the chocolate tree and share a story about what we saw on our way up. Then, we'll read our final book before heading back down the hill, feeling proud of our little journey and ready for our next big adventure!
This event is for families with kids ages 2-5; siblings are welcome. Children must attend with a parent or guardian. The walking portion will be around a half mile total, on a wooded path. The trail is steep; please bring a carrier. This event is free, but space is limited, and registration is required.
