Join the Windham Public Library and Presumpscot Regional Land Trust for a special spring-themed Nature Story Time at Black Brook Preserve in Windham! As the sap starts flowing in the maple trees, we’ll gather to read a story (or two!) about the magic of maple sugaring—how sap is collected and transformed into delicious syrup.
After the story, we’ll take a guided walk through the preserve, searching for sugar maples and other trees used for sugaring. Come explore the sweet signs of spring with us!
This event is for families with kids ages 2-5, siblings welcome. Children must attend with a parent or guardian. The walking portion will be around a half mile total, on a wooded path with a modest hill. This event is free, but space is limited, and registration is required.
