Guided Birding Walk - CANCELED

Due to the impending snow storm, this walk has been canceled. Join Presumpscot Regional Land Trust with Maine Naturalist Christine Murray for a guided bird walk at East Windham Conservation Area. Enjoy a quiet walk through the preserve while spotting and identifying birds for the Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC), a global birding event held annually by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and Audubon. This fun and meaningful community science project invites bird enthusiasts of all levels to observe, identify, and count birds—helping scientists better understand and protect bird populations worldwide. Participate in the GBBC and look for birds at a PRLT’s East Windham Conservation Area. The East Windham Conservation Area is an extensive trail network made up of hilly, wooded terrain with views of the White Mountains and little duck pond. The trail network is a mix of multipurpose trails including, walking, hiking, trail running and mountain biking trails.. The birding walk will be a slow pacd outing, focused on wildlife identification, the walk will cover aorund 1-1.5 miles of trail. The terrain is hilly.

This event is geared for adults, children 11 and older welcome. This event is free, but space is limited, and registration is required.
