East Windham Conservation Project Community Meeting

650-ACRES PROPOSED FOR CONSERVATION & TRAILS: We are Looking for your feedback

We have the opportunity to collaborate with the Town of Windham to forever protect 650-acres of forested land for open space and outdoor recreation in East Windham off Falmouth Road, adjacent to Lowell Preserve.

This is one of the last potential conservation projects of its size in all of Greater Portland and the largest undeveloped block of forest remaining in Windham.

The next step is to build out the vision for this regionally significant project over the next six months. We are kicking off this process with a community meeting Wednesday 2/16 6:30pm - 8pm, this is a hybrid meeting - you can join in-person at Windham Town Hall or via Zoom. The event is free, everyone who is interested in the project is welcome to attend, and registration is required click here to learn more and register

At the community meeting, we'll provide an overview of the project, identify community benefits and potential land uses and ask for public input on prioritizing community benefits and recreational uses for this project.
