In May we are holding a self-guided family-friendly field event at Black Brook Preserve. Hike the newly updated mile Family-Friendly loop trail, with scavenger hunt questions posted along the trail and then stop at the new Fairy and Gnome Village to create a home from nature materials. The event will last for a week, and you can send us photos from your adventure and we will share them on social media.

The trail is generally flat and easy and can typically be hiked by children aged 4+, and by younger children if they can be carried for short stretches over bridges.

Registrants will receive in advance of the event the map of the new loop hiking trail with scavenger hunt and trailhead locations, and ideas for fairy & gnome homes made from nature materials. While this is a family event, people of all ages will enjoy this new adventure and are welcome to register.
