Join us to learn about the history of the Gambo Preserve, located along the Presumpscot River in Gorham and adjacent to Windham. Former Land Trust board member, Don Wescott, will be leading the guided walk. He will share stories about the Cumberland and Oxford Canal and Towpath, and the Gunpowder Mill, which both figured prominently in the 19th century in our region. Historic remains can still be seen along the Gambo Preserve trail. This will be an easy 2 mile walk over mostly flat terrain with lots of stops to learn about the history of the region.
